This Ethiopian bean has a delicate sweetness to it. Even though it is a dark roast, there is a light floral touch reminiscent of an earl grey tea that brings a smoothness to the cup. As it cools, it resembles a tangy fruit juice, but hot it is balanced and floral. We found that this coffee truly shines as a pour-over and espresso brew!

Tega & Tula Specialty Coffee Production:


Tega & Tula Specialty Coffee Farm is named after the two nearby villages of Tega and Tula, found in the woreda, or district, of Gibo, in Keffa, Ethiopia. The farm is 500 hectares in size, with nearly 400 hectares planted in coffee, primarily Ethiopian varieties and cultivars that were released in the late 1970s (74110 and 74112, for example, are the "names" of two of these cultivars from 1978), as well as some wild coffee from the Keffa forests, as the farm is in the Keffa bio-reserve area. The farm is certified organic and produces both Washed and Natural coffees.


As a wholesale customer, you are ordering substantially more than the average coffee lover. This means that ensuring the correct grind level is even more important for you, but there's no need to worry. We're here to help! In addition to whole coffee beans, we currently offer 4 different coffee grind levels.  Listed below with descriptions.

Whole Bean: Unground coffee for a home grinder.

Coarse: Think sugar in the raw, maybe more coarse
   Recommended for Chemex Brewer, French Press, Cold Brew

Medium: Slightly coarser than table salt
   Recommended for Flat bottom brewers, Kalitta, and Cloth filters

Fine:  Slightly finer than table salt
   Recommended for V60 pour overs, Typical cone filter coffee pots, Aeropress.

Extra Fine: Like powdered sugar
   Recommended for Espresso or Moka pot.

If at all possible, we recommend grinding at home. We prefer Baratza coffee grinders and offer several of their models for sale. Click here to shop for one of their brewers.

Roasting Schedule:

We roast and ship all of our coffees daily.  Unlike many roasters, they pick a day for each varietal.  We roast in small enough batches to guarantee that every bag of coffee that you order is roasted after you order it, usually the day after you order it.  We then ship it that day.

We believe that with this schedule your coffee will be the freshest possible every time.

Due to the hefty batch size of the majority of wholesale orders will be shipped out within 48 hours of when your order was placed.  We hope as we grow, we'll still be able to meet these commitments, and we will notify you if anything related to this policy will be changed.

Shipping Policy:

We aim to have a super simple shipping policy.  Everything is shipped ground, because frankly Priority or FedEx 2 Day is pretty expensive for heavier shipments and in an ever cost conscious environment, we want you to pay ofr the quality of beans vs. the speed of shipping.  That said, we have good negotiated rates and will quote and shipping service you want.  Just email us at sales@sagebrushwholesale.com.
